Finding Stillness Inside Movement
Peace and Abundance, Ankhora family!
Welcome to Ankhora's biweekly nurturing of the sacred trinity - mind, body, and soul. In each newsletter we intend to bring you a dose of inspiration, wisdom, and practices to enhance your well-being within those three major layers of life.
Something is happening right now that is bigger than your personal circumstances, and if you have been feeling it without being able to name it, you are not alone.
The sun has been releasing powerful solar flares over the last several days, sending charged electromagnetic energy directly into the field we all live and breathe within. The Schumann resonance, which is the measurable frequency of Earth's electromagnetic field, has been spiking in ways that researchers and sensitive individuals alike are noticing. Several planets are simultaneously in retrograde, pulling energy inward and backward across areas of communication, emotion, relationships, and identity. The sky is not subtle right now and neither is the collective.
What this means practically is that the emotional environment around you is amplified. Things that were already simmering are boiling over. Feelings that were manageable a few weeks ago may feel much larger today. Conversations are charged, reactions are quicker than usual, and decisions that seemed clear are suddenly less certain. If your inner world feels louder than normal, or if the people around you seem to be operating with less patience and more volatility, this is a significant part of why.
The question this week is not how to make it stop. The question is how to remain rooted inside of it.
There is a concept worth holding onto right now, and it is this: you can be in the middle of something intensely moving and still have access to stillness. These two things are not opposites. A river has a current on the surface and a quiet depth at the bottom at the same time. A storm has winds that can flatten trees above ground and an earth beneath that is barely disturbed. The stillness is not the absence of the movement. It is what exists beneath it, available to anyone willing to go deep enough.
This is the spiritual and practical work of this particular moment. Not to pretend the energy is not intense, because it is. Not to minimize what is being stirred in you or around you, because it is real and it deserves to be acknowledged. But to locate, within yourself, the part that does not have to move just because everything else is moving.
You have access to that place and have always had access to it. What shifts during moments like this one is how much effort it takes to get there. The noise is louder, the pull of reactivity is stronger, and the temptation to match the energy of the environment around you is very real. But this is also exactly the kind of moment that reveals the difference between someone who has been doing the internal work and someone who has not.
The work you have been putting in, the self-awareness, the intentional practices, the willingness to look honestly at yourself and keep growing anyway, all of that is not for the easy seasons. It is for seasons like this one. Let it hold you now.
Find the breath between the worlds. It is right there, waiting, in the pause between one thought and the next.

Mindful Alignment:
Mental Gem: Every storm confirms that there is something in you steady enough to witness it. Otherwise you would not still be here.
Mindful Moment: Stop where you are and take one slow breath into your belly to the count of four, holding it gently for a count of eight, then releasing it for a count of eight, and relax for four. Do this three times. Not quickly, but actually slowly, with the intention of finding the floor beneath the feeling rather than climbing on top of it. After those three breaths, ask yourself one question: is what I am about to do or say coming from my center, or from the charge of this moment?
You do not always have to act from stillness. But you should always know the difference between the two before you choose.

Physical Alignment:
Herbal Spotlight — Peppermint (Mentha x piperita)
Peppermint is one of the most widely used herbs across global traditions, known as much for its immediate sensory clarity as for its functional benefits within the body. During a period of heightened electromagnetic and emotional intensity, it is one of the most practical herbs you can reach for.
The menthol in peppermint activates cold receptors in the body in a way that creates an almost instant sensation of clarity and spaciousness, which is particularly useful when the mind feels foggy, overloaded, or overly reactive. Beyond that immediate effect, peppermint supports healthy digestion by relaxing the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, which is especially relevant now since the gut tends to carry tension during periods of emotional overload. It also supports open airways and respiratory ease, reduces tension headaches rooted in stress or sinus pressure, and provides a clean lift in alertness without the crash that comes with stimulants.Traditionally, peppermint has been associated with mental clarity, purification, and the clearing of stagnant or heavy energy from both the body and the space around it. Several traditions used it specifically during times of emotional turbulence as a way of helping the mind return to center.
For simple use, brew one to two teaspoons of dried peppermint leaf per cup of hot water and steep for eight to ten minutes. Drinking it midday or during a moment of overwhelm can offer noticeable settling within minutes. A few drops of diluted peppermint essential oil applied to the temples or the back of the neck can also help relieve tension that accumulates during high-stress periods.
Note: Peppermint is generally very safe for adults. Those with acid reflux may find it worsens symptoms due to its relaxing effect on the esophageal sphincter, so use thoughtfully if that applies to you.
Top Tier Nourishment:
Tuning into the Body: Right now, more important than anything is making sure your nervous system is calm and regulated. As we collectively step into this new chapter, there are tons of external things trying to provoke us and the distractions are in abundance. It is your job to tune out the noise and make sure you are not absorbing the BS. Your inner child (your nervous system) wants safety and comfort. Collectively, many look to what is happening externally because of conditioning and programming, but we should be focusing internally. Make sure you are listening to your body and the way it responds to its environment and what is happening, then move accordingly.
It is absolutely blazing outside and inside, so make sure you stay hydrated with structured water, fruits, and veggies. It is also an excellent time to bask in the sun and sweat out any toxins while absorbing these divine downloads coming in the form of light.

Soulful Alignment:
Soulful Insights: The moments that shake the most people loose are the same moments that reveal who has genuinely built something on the inside. Intensity is not your enemy. It is your confirmation. Every time you choose to breathe rather than react, to feel without being swept away, to stay present when everything around you is demanding that you abandon yourself, you are demonstrating a level of self-mastery that most people spend their whole lives reaching for without ever finding.
This season is not asking you to be unmoved. It is asking you to be unshaken. There is a profound difference between the two, and learning to live in that difference is one of the most powerful things a person can do.
Affirming the Best: I choose my responses from my center, not from the charge of my environment. My inner foundation is stronger than whatever this season sends my way.

Self Operating System™ — A Natural Bridge
Seasons like this one have a way of revealing exactly where your personal operating system needs attention. When the external environment is stable it is easy to function well. When everything is amplified, the gaps in your inner structure become undeniable. What were triggers before become explosions. What was manageable before becomes overwhelming. What felt like a loose area before suddenly feels like a liability.
This is not failure. This is information. And information is only valuable if you do something with it.
The Self Operating System was built to help you construct an inner architecture that does not depend on external conditions being calm in order for you to function well. It is a framework for building the kind of inner structure that holds during the difficult seasons rather than only looking good during the easy ones. If this moment is showing you where that work still needs to happen, that is a gift worth taking seriously.
