Patience is a Virture
This Journey is a Marathon, Not a Sprint

Peace and Abundance, Ankhora family!
Welcome to Ankhora's biweekly nurturing of the sacred trinity - mind, body, and soul. In each newsletter we intend to bring you a dose of inspiration, wisdom, and practices to enhance your well-being within those three major layers of life.
Establishing excellent health and wellness habits is a journey and not an overnight process. In the microwave-based society that we live in, it has programmed most to think everything happens instantly. For one who is looking to truly heal, they must realize that one did not get sick overnight, therefore most times the healing will not be overnight.
Discipline, time, and consistency in executing your healing/growth/expansion practices are what is needed to truly accomplish whatever goal/intention you set forth. True health and wellness is a lifestyle, not a fad or a temporary thing.
In my own healing journey, I’ve had to heal a number of things in all 3 Layers (mind, body, and soul). Let’s highlight the body for this example; I was indefinitively diagnosed with crohn’s at 23. I’m one who will not claim what I’m not intending to materialize, so I never claimed that I had crohn’s. In my mind, there was just crohn-like symptoms when I was poisoning my body by what I was eating.
I say poisoning because once I changed my food and nutrient intake to organic, whole, and plant based foods my entire body and health changed for the better. With the severity of pain and discomfort I’ve dealt with during a flare up, the discipline and consistency in all I do came relatively easy. After dropping a lot of things “cold-turkey” and experimenting with new foods to see what my body acclimated best, my health started improving almost immediately.
For me, it was either listen to my body and learn what it needs or potentially leave this Earth. I refused to go the western medicine route of taking prescription drugs for the rest of my life as proverbial ‘bandaids’ and temporarily masking my symptoms. Finding a cure and going to the root of the issue was the only option, knowing that everything has a cure.
It’s almost like with anything in life; I don’t subscribe to plan Bs because it’s almost like you’re planning to fail on one side of your intention. Plan A must and will always work out in time because that’s the only option. Success is the only plan.
If a problem is created, there must be a solution; nature has a cure for everything. With some things the remedy works quicker than others, but for some it takes time. A good rule of thumb when using a more naturopathic/herbal way of healing is to implement the treatment for at least 21 days consistently if one really wants to see positive and long lasting change.
This concept suggests that while it may take around 21 days of consistent action to begin establishing a habit, maintaining it for 90 days can help embed it into your daily routine, turning it into a lasting part of your lifestyle. The 21-day timeframe is based on older psychology studies, though more recent research indicates that habit formation can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days, depending on the person and complexity of the habit reemphasizing that patience is a virtue.

Mindful Alignment:
Mental Gem: Every experience is a teacher; every moment holds a lesson.
Mindful Moment: When drinking water or tea, pause between sips, truly tasting the liquid, and noticing how it feels. This brings a sense of appreciation and presence to everyday hydration.

Physical Alignment:
Herbal Spotlight: Stinging Nettle is a nutrient-dense herb celebrated for its anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, and immune-supporting properties. Rich in vitamins A, C, K, B vitamins, and minerals like iron, magnesium, and calcium, nettle nourishes the body on multiple levels. Internally, it supports kidney function, promotes healthy digestion, and acts as a gentle detoxifier, particularly benefiting the lymphatic system by aiding in the removal of toxins and excess fluid. This lymphatic support helps reduce congestion, boosting immunity and overall energy. Nettle is also valued for reducing allergy symptoms and soothing joint pain, making it helpful for seasonal allergies and inflammation-related conditions.
Top Tier Nourishment: Now that November and the cooler months are arriving, what better time for soups and chili!? Below is one of my favorite recipes.
Tuning into the Body: During the past couple of weeks I have definitely been in a beans and soup-type of mood when it comes to food choices. Having hearty, filling vegetable soup along with tortilla chips have been the vibe. From a bodily maintenance perspective, staying loose and doing more yoga has been very beneficial in keeping my body in top tier shape. I’ve also ramped up on the weight lifting and strength training, so that feels good after resting for a bit in early autumn.

Soulful Alignment:
Soulful Insights: Surrender to the flow of life. Life’s current will guide you if you let go of resistance. Trust the flow and know that everything is unfolding as it should.
Affirming the Best: Every cell in my body vibrates with health, healing, and vitality.
