Welcome to Ankhora's biweekly nurturing of the sacred trinity - mind, body, and soul. In each newsletter we intend to bring you a dose of inspiration, wisdom, and practices to enhance your well-being within those three major layers of life.
We are standing in the sacred pause of the year, the quiet corridor between the 12/12 gateway we’ve just crossed and the upcoming Winter Solstice on 12/21. This is not an empty space; it is a womb. The cosmos is asking us to slow our outward momentum and turn inward, to listen more than we speak, to feel more than we plan. As the Sun prepares to reach its lowest arc in the sky, we are invited to meet our own inner night with reverence rather than resistance.
Astrologically and energetically, this is a time of integration rather than initiation. The portals of December are less about doing and more about becoming. Many are feeling reflective, emotional, or unusually tired—not because something is wrong, but because something deep is settling. Old identities, roles, and timelines are completing. What has been dismantled over the past months is now reorganizing at a subtler level, like roots strengthening underground before new growth appears.
Collectively, the world mirrors this descent into truth. Systems continue to show their fractures, illusions continue to dissolve, and what was once hidden is coming into view. Yet the medicine of this season is not fear, it is stillness. Winter teaches us that rest is not stagnation, darkness is not failure, and silence is not absence. In the quiet, wisdom sharpens. In the dark, clarity is born.
Internally, many are being called to release the pressure to “figure it all out” before the year ends. You are not behind. You are exactly where you need to be. Let the questions rest. Let the answers arrive in their own time, as the divine is always on time. Nourish your body with warmth, your nervous system with gentleness, and your spirit with patience. These simple acts are powerful alignments during this threshold.
As we approach the Solstice—the rebirth of the light—remember this: the return always begins invisibly. What is coming next for you does not need to be forced or announced. It only needs space. Honor this sacred in-between/void we all have been experiencing. Tend to your inner fire quietly and trust that when the light begins its ascent, you will rise with it—renewed, reordered, and ready for this next year on the Gregorian calendar (Our readers know the real new year starts in the spring, as nothing blooms or begins in the middle of winter). 2026—the year of the Fire Horse will be one of expansion; we look forward to connecting with you on our next installment on January 1 with some new additions and tweaks to the newsletter, so stay tuned!

Physical Alignment:
Herbal Spotlight: Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) is a revered resin traditionally used to support joint health, inflammation balance, and overall mobility, making it especially valuable during periods of physical strain, seasonal shifts, or chronic discomfort. Its key compounds, boswellic acids (especially AKBA), help calm inflammatory pathways without the harsh effects often associated with synthetic anti-inflammatories, supporting comfort in the joints, muscles, and connective tissue. Boswellia also benefits the digestive tract and respiratory system, helping soothe the gut lining and support clear breathing. Commonly taken as capsules, tincture, or resin extract, typical doses range from 300–500 mg, 2–3 times daily. Notes: generally well tolerated; mild digestive upset is possible, and those on anti-inflammatory or blood-thinning medications should consult a practitioner.
Top Tier Nourishment:
Tuning into the Body: Flexibility, staying loose, and staying warm is the wave right now. As we are in the hibernation season, it is quite okay if this needs to be a time of rest. I have been balancing rest and being active. It is hard for me to just sit still at times, so I’m still working out every other day and making sure my temple is always ready for a beach day if you know what I mean. Warm weather can’t come quick enough! Remember to stay hydrated and eat light; listen to what your body needs at this time. Warm teas have also been the wave, making sure I am getting the proper herbs for this time to keep my immune system fortified.

Soulful Alignment:
Soulful Insights: Gentleness is the doorway to sustainable power. This equates to how flexible you are in your body as well; the more flexible you are in your physical movements, the more flexible you are in all aspects of life. Life is a game of opposites; its difficult to know what one side of the spectrum feels like without experiencing the other. We have been societally programmed to be hard and rigid, now its time to soften up a bit.
